Bgo Bingo Removing Wagering Requirements

Posted in Bingo News

There’s nothing worse than being tempted to play at an online bingo site, to find that the generous welcome offer isn’t as generous as it seems. The vast majority of online bingo sites, roll out welcome offers of cash match bonuses and even free spins to get fresh meat onto the site, but it’s those offers that can be putting players off at the same time.

Bgo Bingo Removing Wagering Requirements

No matter what the offer from bingo sites, there is bound to be wagering requirements attached to them. Wagering requirements often come as a 35x or even as high as 100x – this means that whatever the bonus amount you received it will have to be turned over a total of 35x or even 100x – making for some eye-watering terms and conditions.

Goodbye Wagering

Bgo Bingo have announced that they are scrapping minimum wagering requirements on bonuses from 15th October – so it seems like someone has finally beat the boss! Verne Troyer invites players to beat him via successful television campaigns, but we’re not sure if this will be the strapline in future. Any bonuses that Bgo Bingo offer, will be significantly different, meaning bonuses will be real cash or the free spins on offer will be ‘wager-free’ – allowing you to essentially keep what you win.

Change in the Law

It’s due to the change in the taxation law that has resulted in these changes and because of this, more online bingo sites will be following suit. New rules from HMRC and the UK Gambling Commission are forcing the arm of bingo operators, which will be a popular move with customers. CMO Allan Turner from Bgo Entertainment commented;

“We’ve not taken this decision lightly. The recent changes to the regulatory environment in the UK means we are spending time with various parties, be it the UKGC, the CMA, ASA and then of course the players themselves. The bonus issue is something that is continually discussed and we are at a cross-roads where we need to make the right decision for both the company and the consumer. If we have evidence players find wagering conditions confusing or unfair, then that’s enough for us to take a decision. We have always run a safe, trusted and fair online casino and player enjoyment is and always will be our number one priority. Hopefully Bgo can demonstrate to the industry that restrictive bonus wagering conditions are not the way to go and we can make them a thing of the past.”

Not So High

In reality, Bgo Bingo had one of the lowest wagering requirements stipulations, with bingo onuses subjected to a 2x wagering requirement and slots and casino set at a higher 50x. What do you think of the change? Let us know on Facebook.
